Service Description

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: "SOPs, Contingency Plans & Emergency Planning" This workshop will provide water operators with information on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine maintenance and operation of water and wastewater treatment plant equipment. The importance of developing a preventative maintenance schedule and documentation for succession planning will be highlighted. The difference between SOPs, contingency plans, and emergency planning will be explored and templates for basic plans will be provided. Topics include: • Succession planning • Liability • Standard Operating Procedures • Contingency plans • Electrical outages • Process upsets • Source water upset • Emergency plans • Training and tabletop exercises • Documentation management This workshop includes one day of instruction, classroom material, and Record of Completion. NOTE: CEU Credit is not granted by the Operator Certification Board of Saskatchewan if the same workshop has been taken more than once in two consecutive renewal periods. PREREQUISITES None ONLINE CEU WORKSHOP WITH ATAP INSTRUCTOR Registered students will be emailed a guest link to a Microsoft Teams virtual classroom which will be scheduled for set time and dates (see available dates below). An ATAP instructor will be teaching live with PowerPoint units and video content. Online discussion is also included. Workshop materials will be emailed along with login information prior to workshop, and certificates will be emailed to students with paper copies to follow by mail. A phone number will be provided for technical assistance. Technical requirements: • Email address (where login information can be sent) • Access to a computer, mobile device or tablet • Internet access • Head phones are very helpful but not required NOTE: CEU Credit is not granted by the Operator Certification Board of Saskatchewan if the same workshop has been taken more than once in two consecutive renewal periods.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION/RECEIPT: Upon completion of your online booking/payment, a confirmation email will be sent to you from this website with another email to follow with a receipt (paid invoice). Please ensure that any email spam/junk filters are not blocking these emails. If you do not receive any emails after booking, please call ATAP at 306-244-8828. CANCELLATION POLICY: If the registrant cancels two weeks before a workshop/course or earlier, they are eligible for a full refund. Within two weeks of the start of the course/workshop, no refunds for cancellations are available unless ATAP cancels the training. The registrant who cancels in the two weeks prior to the start date will, however, have a credit that can be held for up to 1 year. Students who are absent, without informing ATAP of that absence prior to the course start, will receive a credit, which may be held up to 1 year, but are not eligible for a refund. Exam cancellations during a course: registrants must indicate at the time of registration (whether online or by telephone), the course exams they are writing (both, one, none). No credits or refunds will be available for exam cancellations once the course has begun. No examinations can be added during the course.
