Training Manager
Full-time Permanent
We are on the lookout for a talented Training Manager to join our team in Saskatoon. You will lead the Training team within ATAP and be responsible for training course contracts and scheduling of training delivery, course materials and technical course requirements and updates, proposal submissions, business development, and staffing under this team. You will deliver ATAP courses, as needed. Support of the ATAP Field Services team, assisting with project execution, may be involved. Travel will be required.
What you will be doing (but not limited to): Training • Provide direction and develop strategy to advance the ATAP Training department. • Curriculum development of water and wastewater training courses. • Update course materials to OCB industry standards and to meet the training needs of clients. • Attend Technical Training to maintain Operator Certification (if have Operator Certification). • Manage ATAP support staff and contractors who are part of the ATAP Training team. • Compile budget requirements • Oversee, create, and submit proposals to bring in new business. • Bring on new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients for ongoing business development purposes. • Responsible for training equipment purchasing and upkeep. Project Execution • Creation of project documents to ensure effective representation of information. • Determine client needs and determine and plan best approach for project completion. • Maintain accuracy, quality, completeness, and schedule adherence. • Perform in a technical capacity, appropriate to experience level. • Ensure that work conforms to company/industry established standards. • May include providing field services. • Confirm that quality assurance processes have been followed. • Execute projects consistent with the Project Execution Guidelines. • May act as a liaison between client and contractor/supplier/regulatory agency. • Review design drawings from an operator/analytical perspective. Business Development • Attendance at conference/tradeshow/seminars to promote company services. • Liaison with partner organizations for training delivery. • Coordinate membership with various professional organizations and represent ATAP as required. • Work with other AE/ATAP offices to grow the market in those locations. • Monitor opportunities and assist in grant submissions to support client communities. • Coordinate with Marketing team to ensure ATAP has an active social media presence. • Onsite visitation of potential clients. • Update promotional materials. • Respond to client questions/concerns/operational issues. Water and Wastewater Operation & Maintenance Field Technicians
ATAP Infrastructure Management Ltd. is accepting resumes for Water and Wastewater Operation & Maintenance Technicians. Current minimum Class 2 water and wastewater certification is preferred. Instructing, mentoring and supervisory experience is an asset, as Technicians may be required to teach workshops or certification preparation courses, in addition to the many field services we provide. Instrumentation & Controls Technologist
We currently have an opening for an Instrumentation & Controls Technologist in our Saskatoon office. In this position, you will work with engineers, technologists, and support staff to provide instrumentation and controls servicing on a variety of municipal and industrial projects throughout Canada. You will be active in the delivery of servicing to power and automation systems with instrumentation to monitor medium voltage electrical service, water & wastewater process, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centres, low voltage electrical distributions systems, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems. Projects will include water and wastewater treatment plants, water and wastewater pumping stations, greenhouses, and more. You will visit site as required to perform commissioning activities, inspections, and business development. You will also provide support to other members of our team while working on a variety of projects in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited, to the following: •PLC and HMI integration from various manufacturers •Onsite commissioning of automation, electrical, and process systems •Inspection of water, wastewater, and other electrical and automation systems •Preparation of drawings using CAD and related software drawing programs •Assisting engineers in broad engineering activities and calculations (i.e. lighting, electrical loads, automation system layouts) •Applying electrical engineering principles and techniques to provide power, controls and automation engineering and design services for a wide variety of industries and clients •Development of process control narratives •Assisting engineers with construction shop drawing reviews •Complying with and working within a COR certified environment •Performing all duties in accordance with those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable legislation Job Requirements What you will bring: •A diploma in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology or similar applicable program from an accredited technical college •1-3 years of experience, gained in an academic or workplace setting •Basic knowledge of control system design, including process control narratives, P&IDs, PLC panels, I/O lists, communication networks, and I/O wiring diagrams •Knowledge of basic electrical engineering design, including MCCs, power and lighting panels, single line diagrams, lighting schedules and layouts •Proficiency in using Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Revit •Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite products •Strong written communication skills •Strong oral communication skills •Excellent attention to detail •Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills •Results oriented •Committed team player •Possess a valid class 5 driver's license •Available for occasional work outside of normal working hours, including overtime •Available to travel within Canada Everyone has their own unique talents, skills, and background.
