Class1 Water Treatment & Distribution
Service Description
Designed for all Water Plant and/or Distribution System Operators not currently certified. This course offers: • Preparation to write Saskatchewan Class 1 – Certification Exams for WT & Distribution • Examination sessions provided on the 5th day • Introduction – Legislation & Water Quality Objectives • Safety – Plant & Distribution Works • Basic Technical Skills • Support Systems • Administration • Water Treatment (Principles/Equipment) • Water Distribution (Principles/Equipment) The course includes four days of instruction, Class 1 Manual, printed course materials and quizzes, and the course exams (exams written on day 5). PREREQUISITES Basic understanding of water treatment and water distribution system principals, practices and terminology as well as basic mathematic skills. NOTE: Grade 12/GED 12 is required for Class 1 certification applications to the Operator Certification Board of Saskatchewan (www.saskocb.ca). Registrants in our courses without Grade 12/GED 12 are advised to be working towards this course corequisite. If writing exams other than the course exams, notify ATAP at least 22 days before exam date. Instruction 8:30am - 4:30pm each day (Mon. - Thu). Exams (2) begin at 8:30am on Friday in same room. Only SK Certification exams are available with this course. VENUE: Associated Engineering/ATAP Bldg. 1922 Park Street, Regina, SK NOTE! The course plus two exams (Class 1 Water Treatment & Class 1 Water Distribution) is the standard registration. Typically, most registrants will choose the course plus 2 exams option. Other options are available, if required.

Please ensure that any email spam/junk filters are not blocking these emails. If you do not receive any emails after booking, please call ATAP at 306-244-8828. CANCELLATION POLICY: If the registrant cancels two weeks before a workshop/course or earlier, they are eligible for a full refund. Within two weeks of the start of the course/workshop, no refunds for cancellations are available unless ATAP cancels the training. The registrant who cancels in the two weeks prior to the start date will, however, have a credit that can be held for up to 1 year. Students who are absent, without informing ATAP of that absence prior to the course start, will receive a credit, which may be held up to 1 year, but are not eligible for a refund. Exam cancellations during a course: registrants must indicate at the time of registration (whether online or by telephone), the course exams they are writing (both, one, none). No credits or refunds will be available for exam cancellations once the course has begun. No examinations can be added during the course.
